Tangerine is a great concept... but for the steep price I’d expect better analyzing capabilities and better AI (or shall we call it common sense?). I had Eric Serra’s “Deep Blue Dream” from the soundtrack for “The Big Blue” mixed together with Elvis Presley’s “Heartbreak Hotel.” Come again??

Questionable Choices - macDigital

i guess if you point it at your entire iTunes library, that's what you're going to get. it's looking at BPMs, not consulting a huge database of artists and music styles. perhaps creating a playlist of similar styles first is in order, and telling Tangerine! to select from that playlist using the rules. no program is going to get it right without a little assist from the user.
