Still missing basic Mac look and feel

Feedback Type:  Review

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Recommend Product: YES

I cannot believe that after all this time Firefox still does not have aqua form widgets to keep the look and feel in line with the standard Mac interface. The clunky, ugly Windows 9.x style buttons and drop down boxes stop me using what is otherwise a good browser.

Download and use Aqua Firefox 1.5.0.1 or Firefoxy and you will be VERY happy!

Still missing basic Mac look and feel - jockm2

Not all of us feel that System 9 look is ugly. We prefer simplicity.

Still missing basic Mac look and feel - tryme

System 9 wasn't ugly in it's day, but the default form elements in Firefox are in the clunky, ugly Windows style and they look totally out of place in Mac OS X - just as the OS9 look does. I prefer consistency in my UI and we get enough inconsistency from Apple (aqua, metal, shaded, unified toolbar, non unified toolbar). The above mentioned Aqua widgets in combination with Uno bring consistency to the entire UI, not just Firefox.
