Let's be honest. If you want an app to hold your hand, buy a commercial program.
This app can identify a virus and show its location. Then all you have to do is navigate to its location and delete it.
It works. I had an issue where my ISP shut off my email access. I called and they told me I had a virus. I told them they were nuts but I used ClamXav to scan my mail.app folder and there it was. I won't go into details about how it happened . Suffice to say that a cut and paste from a Hotmail phishing message (regarding a bank) to Mail, with rich text enabled, facilitated the mess.
No good deed goes unpunished.

Well, just to make you feel better ... if your ISP had been blocking infected e-mails with ClamAV, you wouldn't not have been infected in the first place.Reply to This
