Dear BOINC folks. It's considered good form to ask the user before rebooting the machine. OK, so the latest installer doesn't reboot the machine, it meerly logs one out. I figure this is to force the closure of the old software and an orderly re-launch of the new. Even so, it's unforgivable not to give the user a choice!

For the record, I just updated the first of my machines. A PowerBook 1.67GHz running (for operational reasons Mac OS 10.3.9).

To all the other folks who've posted on this version of BOINC. Thanks for the warnings. I won't be updating any of my Intel Based Macs just yet.
