Second Life is pretty reasonable on the 2.33GHz 15" MacBookPro with ATI 1600 running 10.4.8. I'm getting a reliable 40 FPS through my cable modem and can get it up to 80 FPS, if need be, by turning off eye candy.

Yes, the system is prone to hacks and slowdowns. So is life.

No problems on MacBookPro - drumkey88

I start to play the game for about 10 minutes and my computer just totally freezes up and I am runnin on the macbook (Intel) what do you think the problem could be?
