Works fine for me

Feedback Type:  Review

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

No crashes, and the music and visuals are nice (try compressing the sound effects to save disk space, though). But I found the gameplay, after I figured it out, to actually make me more tense, not less. :P The considerable lag of the "snake" behind the cursor makes it difficult to finely control the motion. I guess lower scores are better, but there are no directions anywhere and I'm not in the mood to test it.

The game is totally controlled by mouse movement. No keys, no clicking. If you move the mouse, the three-circle "snake" will follow the cursor. Things will happen when the snake touches objects. You navigate the menus by touching the snake to the circles next to the menu options. In-game, the object is to move the several circles by hitting them, in order to burst the stationary "bases", that usually have small circles rotating around them. You can't move the bases.

So far, I've found two different types of objects. The circles with a circle symbol inside them go to the "circle" bases, which will attract all objects within a small range (including your snake) and will burst when you give them enough circle-type objects at once.

The second type have a diamond symbol on them. The moveable objects of this type will link together if they are hit (and can't be broken apart again). You have to hit these against the diamond bases, which do not have any sort of gravity. If there are multiple diamond bases, you usually have to link them together with strings of the moveable diamond objects.

Circle-type objects will bounce off of diamond bases and diamond-type objects. Circle bases will attract both types of objects, but will not burst if they have any diamond-type objects in "orbit". They will simply expel all objects when they reach critical mass.

You are timed for each level and also given a score that seems to be based on the number of hits against other objects and the force of those strikes. So it seems to me that faster times and lower scores are better.

There, is that enough explanation? :)

Works fine for me - kodi

hello adreitz,

that's a good description of the game mechanics.

i just want to add that the behavior of the 'magnets' and the 'anchors' is defined by two parameters: the color and the number of small circles rotating around them.

a magnet explodes if there are as much circles in them as there are small circles rotating around them. if all of the captured circles match the color of the magnet it will also vanish.

the anchors will explode if there are as much other anchors connected as there are small circles rotating around them. only if all the circles in the connecting chain(s) match the color of the anchor it will also vanish.

the aim of each level is to remove all the magnets and anchors.

thanks for your help,
yours kodi

Thanks for the technical terms. :) Might want to create some sort of readme to go along with the game, so people who aren't good at learning by fiddling will be able to do this (and so people can find your web site, etc.)
