Not true. You are thinking of viruses.A worm or a rootkit can be installed on a mac via a trojan horse or by a brute force login via ssh or via httpd exploits if those services are enabled (by default they are not).

There might not be any viruses, worms, rootkits etc that affect Macs - but it is irresponsible to ignore them if you are on a mixed network or use email. A Mac can still be a carrier for the viruses etc that affect Windoze machines.Tuesday, February 13 2007 @ 01:26 AM PST
