how my comments were deleted from this forum, probably because they were not rosy for the developer.

I will state it again. I feel screwed by this developer upgrade policy from Amadeus II to the Pro version. I purchased Amadeus II within 30 days of Pro coming out, and will wind up paying more money than if I had just purchased the Pro version had I known it was coming out.

This developer is saying I should have seen the announcements on their website about the upcoming Pro version. I say it should be ANY developers policy to allow a no charge upgrade to a product if it was purchased within a 30 day period.

Amadeus II is nothing but a subset of the Pro version, and as such, I would have certainly purchased it instead of Amadeus II.

I agree with you. I just had a developer refuse to send an updated registration code for an application for which I paid $25.00 - his codes expire after one month. I finally reported the matter to Kagi, the financial administrators, advising them that Eoin Norris, the developer of PixelNews (iNews) was not providing a registration code. The Kagi Accounts Manager said he refer the problem to the Refunds Department so I could get a refund. Kagi's Refunds Department, however, said I had use of the software for a year (actually it was under a year) and Kagi would make no refund. The developer has been refusing to send the code since November 2006 and Kagi has been completely ineffective in getting a code to me. They just keep saying, "Hopefully, he'll send it soon."

Want some cheese with that whine?

Perhaps you could suggest this same policy to Adobe, Intuit, Microsoft, FileMaker, and all the games developers you can think of--and Apple. Oh, yeah: go ask Toyota, Honda, Ford, GM, Subaru, Mazada, etc to give you a new car if you bought one within 30 days before a new model came out.

Does Amadeus II do what the developer said it would do? If Amadeus Pro had not come out, would you have been satisfied with Amadeus II? It must have been worth the cost to you at the time or you wouldn't have bought it. You have received your money's worth.
