Existing users, 
I rely on SPX, and have used it for years for all my heavy bootable back-up work. I downloaded and installed 5.0.5 immediately and tried it on a MacPro to firewire drive back-up. It scanned the files quickly and then put up the copy screen and simply froze. Twice. I've had to re-install 5.0.4 until Qdea fixes it.
Advice--do not throw away your 5.0.4 until you're satisfied that 5.0.5 works.
