I do not like Microsoft and dislike Bill Gates even more.
However, honestly without both of them, I would be on a PC now. I have to exchange files frequently with clients and with Office, it is a snap with Office X. Clients do not even know I am on Office Mac. I have a PC too with Office 2000 and an older G3 with Office 2001. I can synchronize the files between the three machines without any problems. Entourage can even communicate with Outlook PC. What more can you ask?
About Messenger, I use this product only to go the Sympatico server to know if I have any messages. then it will proceed to open my browser and bring me to the Sympatico server. So I have not chatted or anything.

Office is a rubbish product. It makes silly assumptions that I do not want or need. Entourage corrupted my whole email database. I have gone over to Nisus Writer Express for WP, Bare Bones Mailsmith for email and Keynote for presentations- all are better than M$ Office and cheaper too.
