Ever since version 5.1.1 of MSN Messenger, this thing has had a broken SOCKS5 proxy implementation. Microsoft have been completely useless and thus, so is their software. I have had endless "did you check your password is correct?" responses and other scripted, worthless assistance. I actually don't want assistance. This is a bug, and I want it fixed. This is not me, and it's not my network, and even though I send them the results of an hour's worth of testing and regression testing, pointing squarely at Messenger, I get "are your settings correct?", "you need to talk to your admin". I *am* the admin.

I'm enjoying the "Used Product For" pop-up on this Feedback form. A very generous interpretation of the word "Use" applies here, considering it's broken.
