I just wish we could use iChat to connect and chat with MSN users as almost everybody I know are on MSN...

You might like to try Yahoo Messenger as well. After years of neglect, it seems to have leapfrogged Microsoft's client, even in beta. And Yahoo and MSN networks now co-operate, allowing you to send and receive to/from MSN within Yahoo's client.
