I am unable to install the update on a 20 inch 2GHz Intel Core Duo with 2 GB of SDRAM. Message states "Your computer does not meet the hardware requirements for this upgrade."

Read the installation requirements - this requires a Core 2 Duo not a Core Duo processor.

Did you read this before you tried to load it?

MacBook Pro with Intel Core 2 Duo
MacBook with Intel Core 2 Duo
Mac Pro with AirPort Extreme option
iMac with Intel Core 2 Duo (except the 17-inch, 1.83GHz iMac)
