I downloaded via Software update. Restarted.....Got scared as restart took a while...Left it alone...Finally login screen came up.
Ran Disk Utility repair disk permissions. Now I can see neighbor's wifi that I could not see before....
Dont know what it did...but it is working.

Slow restarts are typical after kernel extensions are updated. The OS has to reload the extensions without benefit of the cache that gets built after they're loaded the first time.Reply to This
