Launching this application puts only an icon in the menu bar -- no drop down menu.
After I typed in the text field a strip dropped below the text input area. The strip contained several icons. Didn't see a Quit button
I clicked on the preference icon and Trapper Keeper started consuming CPU and disk space--never reached the preference settings. When I was finally able to access Activity Monitor it had taken up over 500mb of additional virtual memory and was using 70%+ of CPUs.
If you decide to uninstall don't forget to remove Trapper Keeper from Accounts > login items preference pane
