Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

I got FotoMagico as part of the MacHeist bundle and this has subsequently proved to be an outstanding bargain. It is a far superior alternative to iMovie for producing dynamic, high-res slideshows, with full and intuitive control of pan & zoom effects. All transitions are fully and smoothly rendered, which sometimes does not occur with eg. iPhoto or Keynote.

Fast, simple to use from the get go, and amazingly professional looking results. It also appears very stable on my iMac CD: working for over 4 hours with 2GB of HD TIFF files was absolutely fine.

My only quibble would be with the app's name: with no prior experience of it, it sounds like some kind of POS photo-editor you'd find bundled with a cheap Windows scanner! Yes, it does perform "magic" with photos, but the name hardly matches the app in terms of power & slickness. Just an observation for anyone harbouring similar thoughts ;-)

Simply Awesome - 50ftQueenie

Thanks for your thoughts. I also bought the MacHeist bundle and this is one of the apps that I haven't even opened yet. The name is definitely a turnoff, it sounds very rinky-dink and lame, but due in large part to your positive review, I'll give this app a try.
