SpamSieve is an amazing spam filter that works (perfectly) with numerous email clients including Mail.app. why do people bother writing other spam filtering utilities when there's already one available that couldn't be improved upon?

why use anything other than SpamSieve? - ddg.alextek_dotmac

Well. I use SpamSieve too- and like it- but this dude/dudette sounds like s/he owns stock in the company!
I got SpamSieve because something in JunkMatcher completely hosed my Mail.app. Couldn't get it to run at all, even after removing JunkMatcher. And as some have pointed out, the app may be abandonware at this point, not having been touched in a year and a half.

I liked the ability to block by phrase; SpamSieve doesn't seem to. Tried this, SpamSieve, and Intego Personal Antispam. They all seem to get beat a lot...
