Now I have to spend another $25 to go from Amadeus II to Amadeus Pro? This new version isn't that substantially improved, at least not enough to have a developer ask me to pay for what should be a free upgrade to long-time users. I'm going back to Sound Studio.

No, you get to pay $25 for a $40 product. No one forced you to buy Amadeus II, and no one is forcing you to buy Amadeus Pro. Amadeus II still has exactly the same functionality that it had when you first bought it.Apologies if you are actually being held hostage and forced at gun/knife/pencil/gerbil point to buy shareware.

I kind of understand your frustration but on the other hand people should be paid for the hard work they put into products don't you think? $25 is not too much to pay for new features if you want them. You could also do what I do and stay with Amadeus II. I don't need all of those features I am sure given the fact that I only use Amadeus II perhaps 4 times a year. Cut the guy (I believe it is a guy) some slack.Sunday, January 14 2007 @ 11:35 AM PST

It's not that I don't think someone should be paid for their efforts, it's that one shouldn't have to pay extra. Most companies that I know of have a policy that if you've purchased their product within 30 days you qualify for the upgrade at no extra charge.
Considering that Amadeus II is just a subset of features of Amadeus Pro, I most certainly would have purchased it instead of Amadeus II.
Now instead of a satisfied customer, I am feeling screwed and am considering other alternatives to Amadeus.

You don't have to . . . .But if you are into audio, and not into waiting . . .
Fork up the $25 for a great program!!

You think that's bad? I just bought Amadeus II less than 30 days ago. Stupid mistake. Now I get to pay $55 for a $40 product.Reply to This
