Works fine in the UK

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

UK DUDES you gotta put 44 in stead of the leading 0. So 077123456789 would be 4477123456789.

I downloaded this and was up and going in 1 minute!
Utterly trouble free.

Works fine in the UK - Anthony Jackson

Well, that is exactly what I did (and I presume my son-in-law did, too).

To be clear, I put in 44 then my mobile number, with the leading zero missing, no spaces, no other characters. The response I got from the SMS widget is:

"Please enter a valid area code!"

I just ttried it again - same result.

My carrier is T-Mobile, I entered an email address, don't know what else I can tell you?

OS 10.4.8 PPC (12" G4 PBk 1.5 GHz).

Oh, of course I did read the help. It gives an example of a UK number inputted as I did, with no spaces or 'plus' sign.

I also found that by mousing over the 'i' beside the number I was given an example, +44 1234567890 which is, of course, a UK number style. So I tried again, with the numbers presented as in this example - i.e. with a plus sign and a space after the area code. Same result.

Is there perhaps a confusion with T-Mobile as a provider (with it existing in the US as well as the UK?)

My number begins 07947, so I put 447947 followed by the six figures of my personal phone number.

It could be so useful...!

Re: UK - Keaka Jackson

Hi Anthony,

In the carrier popup menu, try selecting "International" (at the very bottom) instead of T-Mobile.

Even though I put my number with 44 in front it appears on the recipients mobile as 447800002127. Any ideas why?
