I got it for $59 through the Roxio Web site, not through their spam. Just logged in, selected which version of Toast I have (7), and v8 was in my basket for $59.Monday, January 08 2007 @ 03:36 PM PST

May be they had some pricing problems first, but now it works fine!Monday, January 08 2007 @ 03:47 PM PST

I got an even better price on the website: $53.99. Visit their Upgrade center, specify that you have Toast 7 (if indeed you have it), click "Buy Download", and then wait for a minute or so, and you'll get a popup offering an extra $6.00 discount if you upgrade right away.Monday, January 08 2007 @ 04:01 PM PST
I got a different story, $69.99 - wraggj
I own Version 7, and here is what they sent me in response to my complaint about this pricing structure...Roxio sez--
The mail in rebate found on the website is only for customers who have a
previous version of Roxio/Sonic Software. This is not for first time
buyers. First time buys would pay Retail Price of $99.99
If you are a registered user who has opted to receive our promotional
emails, you would have received an email promotion for Toast 8 for
$69.99.
--- end Roxio stuff
So they didn't mention the $59 deal to me. I find it irritating that you must sign up for their "spam" in order to be eligible for the deal anyway. Why not mention it on the web site?
