I've used Discus for a very long time and highly recommend it for everything to do with disc labeling. I, too, bought the v4 upgrade way back in February 2006...and have been waiting for the final v4 release.
This particular release has package problems in that when unstuffed, there is an icon-less application file that when put in the Application with the v4 art file, should run. However, it also needs the art database that was provided with the v4.02 beta...
MagicMouse really needs to fix this distribution and at least provide a ReadMe in the .sit file.... or better yet, do their distribution using .dmg files instead of the obsolete Stuffit format

Problem with the .sit distribution - richardc
I fully agree. While the software may be coming through niw, the downloads don't work with the supplied version 4 art file and all in all, this doesn't feel like a finished product. What a shame.Thursday, March 15 2007 @ 12:27 AM PDT

The Discus 4.xx updates on the website are for users who already have a version 4 product and are wishing to make the minor update. If you have version 3 you will not be able to upgrade by merely downloading this program file. Version 4 is a paid upgrade, and until it is release can only be obtained by joining the version 4 prerelease subscription program. If you download this file by itself, it is not going to run. You cannot trick version 4 by trying to rename version 3 art databases, etc. Version 4 when it is done will ship on DVD media and will have lots of artwork. The prerelease version of Discus 4 has reduced artwork to make it feasible to download.
