In Mac os X 10.4 , if I copy text containing a hypertext link and paste it into an editor (Word 2004 for instance), the link is displayed as simple text.

Gecko Core bug - joehodge

This, I am told from Camino development which uses the same Gecko core engine, is and has been a "bug" for as far back as I could read Bugzilla reports. Gecko does not support copy and paste for styled text and formats such as tables. Compare Safari cut and paste to any mozilla project that uses Gecko and you will see the big difference. Camino development said that there was a lack of interest in the Core team ever fixing this problem. Hope this helps.
