Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

I queued up 2 two-hour movies for transfer from my Tivo. The progress bar indicated approximately 7 hours to complete the transfer and decoding. I went and had dinner. When I came back both movies were missing from the queue, which I though indicated a successful transfer. Sadly, they did transfer, but only the first (roughly) ten minutes of each film, sitting as fairly useless - but playable - MP4s on my hard drive. If the developer could work out this aborted transfer issue (present in all recent versions), then this would SO be worth paying for. Two stars for effort at filling a much needed gap in the Mac world.

Still issues with downloads - brossow

This is likely a documented TiVo software bug rather than a problem with TDM. I have several shows that absolutely refuse to download completely regardless of whether I use TDM, the web interface, or even curl on the command line via Terminal. They simply will not download. Pretty unfair to blame this software when it is quite possibly not the source of the problem.

I also run Tivo's own Tivo To Go software under Windows on my MacBook Pro, and it downloads every program I throw at it, including the two I mentioned in my review. So the bug is clearly not hardware related, it's software. It's not at all unfair to raise a serious flaw with this software - and I am not the first reviewer to report this issue. Earlier versions had the same problem. I hope the developer can resolve it because the only reason I even have Windows on my MacBook is to use Tivo's somewhat poor (though workable) software.

Same here! It started off ok but soon stopped. VLC showed the first minute of the show. Now it doesn't download anything and stops immediately after starting. Yes, transfers are allowed etc. It's a cool program, and it's FREE so I really appreciate the effort. Hope the developer sees this and finds the issue, software, hardware, user, or otherwise soon!
