What a brilliant script! It really saved my life and made it possible to get ratings and playcounts over from the iPod to iTunes even though the iPod was set to "manually manage music".

Please note however that it doesn't seem to work to just sync selected playlists. I needed to choose entire iPod and sync that with the corresponding playlists in iTunes to get it to work.
