Please, read the Help!!!After cleaning the cache files, the next restart will usually take a little longer and the general speed of your computer will seem a little slower. Don’t worry, this speed loss will be only temporary and everything will be back to normal in a few minutes.
...and please, no comparaison... Tiger Cache Cleaner is a shareware, not a freeware!
Thanks!

ONYX is free and better than both.Or Applejack. (also free)
For fontcaches, try Fontnuke (also free)

I used OnyX for quite awhile, and liked it. I always THOUGHT it worked, but then I realized the space on my computer never changed while clearing cache files until I used TinkerTool System. It's a lot better from my point of view, because it actually works and makes a difference with my computer's performance.TinkerTool has about 5 times the amount of features than OnyX has, though it DOES come with a price tag. ($9.71 US) COMPLETELY WORTH IT!!!
Get TinkerTool System and get a faster and cleaner Mac!
NOTE: I'd send some screenshots, though I don't know if the developer would like that. ;^)

I've experienced the same situation.I tried Maintenance and my iMac G5 ran very slowly and programs that I open such an TextEdit, would say not responding.
I deleted Maintenance, restarted and everything is back to normal.
