The only complaint I've ever had with this app is the lag when resizing, etc. I've always attributed that to it being 1.0.
Overall, Frequency is an outstanding application. The idea of 'painting' with sound is hardly new (Eno, among others started down that analogy path decades ago). The interface is fairly intuitive, and any user with a reasonable understanding of the ADSR concept with have a blast with Frequency.
I've found the graphical approach to shaping the noise-floor to be pretty useful when dealing with transcription tapes.
Wondering how Frequency would do with a little more horsepower (and if it would survive a MacIntel transition), I've installed Frequency on a fully patched Mac Pro 2.66 GHz with 4 GB of RAM. It runs _a lot_ tighter.
So, everyone can continue to enjoy.
