it won't let me install because I don't have permission for some of the items? huh? I'm on an Admin account...

Installation went fine for me without problems.

Try downloading the update using Firefox's update mechanism. This is what I always do and it works. The download is also much smaller this way.

thanks, that's a good thought. I was able to install it by putting the old version in a folder, and then dragging the new one to the apps folder. inelegant, but it worked! ;¬ )

I'm glad you figured it out.

When the next update is released, try using Firefox's update magnesium and see if it works for you.

The download is a lot smaller and you wont have any problems. I've never had a problem with the download or the installation using the update magnesium in Firefox.
