How current is the satellite image? I tried using it to track the construction of my new house, but the image is months old. Is there an application that lets me stream images in real or close to real time?

anyone expecting to track live progress of construction of their house needs a wake up call to what google earth is. not to mention the answers are easily found at google's website. by law they must wait 24 hrs to post images, but they got so much to get high res of that you'd be lucky if they update your house every 6 months, probably more like every couple years right now. i'm sure that will improve over time and hooking up with NaSAWednesday, December 20 2006 @ 04:17 AM PST

Well, you won't get current pictures of houses, but you can get real time weather satellite photos at: http://www.jschilling.net/software.phpSelect the "Solscape" link.

Common, you guys, think about what you are asking for. If this data were up to date it would have significant military intelligence value. If you can track the construction of your house in real time, then Al Queda can track the construction of factories, power plants, dams and all sorts of potential targets. you wouldn't want that now would you?Monday, January 08 2007 @ 10:33 AM PST

yeah, you could rename yourself to Mustafa Ali Akbah Muhammad Hussein and create a website advertising terrorism training, and then the CIA will have a live stream of your house!Reply to This
