As the 'read me' clearly states, the resulting files will not be read properly by QuickTime. However, this is a solution. You can drag and drop the downloads into a program called VisualHub (which I have used for a while to convert all sorts of video content for my iPod) and it WILL decode and adjust the Tivo files into almost any other format. Better yet, the resulting files can be half the size or even less. Therefore, TiVoDecode Manager + VisualHub is THE Mac solution for getting Tivo content onto your iPod or any other device. On the Windows side, TiVo charges about $25 for their TiVo 2 Go software, which will also take TiVo content and decode it into a form that can be read by portable devices and QuickTime (I was doing that for a while on my MB Pro). The only flaw is that when I resized the TiVoDecode Manager window, the progress barometer stopped and I had to keep "Getting Info" in the finder on the downloaded file to know whether the download was complete or not. It was. If the program to build the decode routine in (like VisualHub is able to do) this would be an admirable piece of shareware worth a fee competitive to Tivo's Windows solution.

bwickens:I've tried your suggestion of using VisualHub, but I still get video that's out of sync with audio. What settings do you use? I want to get Tivo files made into DVD's for travel, as I often want to take more shows with me than I have hard drive space.
