I have tried all of the last three versions and although it finds the programs on my Tivo just fine, if I hit DECODE, it will create an initial file but it stays at ZERO bytes and doesn't do the download.
Am I pushing the wrong button? Is it NOT the DECODE button?
If I manually download a program from the TIVO and drop it into the competitor's program, TIVO DECODER, it decodes just fine.
Then, I play it in VLC.

Will NOT Download Program - brossow
Easiest way is via Safari, which uses Bonjour to automatically find your TiVos. Turn on the Bonjour setting(s) in Preferences and look in the Bookmarks menu or the Bookmarks Bar (if you have it enabled). I think there's another post in this thread with a link to an article on this topic. I'm at a Windoze machine now and can't give exact instructions.Otherwise, if you know the IP address (found in the network settings screen) you can connect manually using the SECURE http protocol -- https://<TivO IP>/nowplaying/ -- and use tivo as the username and your 10-digit media key as the password. You'll get a "Now Playing" list similar to what you see on the TiVo with a download link for each show.

Ho do you manage to download the programs from your TiVo "manually"? Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.Reply to This
