There is no excuse in this day and age for the disparity between the Windows & Mac version of this software. Yahoo is a big company with lots of money, certainly they could whip out a Mac version that has the same feature set. As a result, I have abandoned using Yahoo messenging altogether but in the rarest of instances. When I do log in, I use Adium, which sadly is a far superior client than any of the Mac messengers for any service. The dismal Mac development is not unique to Yahoo, it's the same with MSN's messenger as well. The only thing that I really appreciate about Yahoo over the others is the ability to receive and send offline messages. Unfortunately it's not worth it. I'd happily use their client if they bothered to make it the same software as Windows but as it is, it's like being thrown a dog biscuit and made to sit in the corner at a holiday banquet.
