"if you are upgrading to 10.5 which is coming out next month don't buy this!
i know from a reliable source that they have no plans to provide support.
last upgrade was 18 months ago!
$100???!!!"
This previous post from dev10 (3 TIMES!!) giving a 1 star rating is yet another example of readers flaming a product they haven't even used.
I run the prepress department in a large printing company (15-20 Macs) that can not afford down time. I also support several other small Mac based companies. I've used DW for years and it has been the single, fastest, most effective recovery tool in my arsenal. Micromat's products (TechTool, DiskStudio and the Protege) take up the rest of the slack. I will upgrade, and if the program has shortcomings, I'll rate it accordingly.
PLEASE PEOPLE, if you are going to rate a program:
1) Use the program
2) Give real, unbiased evaluations of the features, usability and stability
3) Give at least a minimal description of your hardware & software environment
If you're just going to flame on hearsay or price, do the community a favor - post a commentary, NOT a review. If you don't like the price, you don't have to buy it.
DiskWarrior
Maintain, repair, and recover system disk/drive data.
Version: 4.2
once again... readers beware of irresponsible ratings!
