Maybe fine for WACOM - doesn't see my Trust 1200

Feedback Type:  Commentary

Contributed by: lucytune Monday, December 04 2006 @ 09:32 PM PST

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

I downloaded and installed this on OSX 10.4.8 G5 dual 2.0MHz in the hope that it might resurrect my Trust 1200 Wireless tablet for which the Trust site states that there is no OSX driver. Although the wireless mouse now works, Tablet Magic does not see my (wrong brand?) tablet.
Any hints or suggestions to encourage it to see my tablet would be appreciated.

Maybe fine for WACOM - doesn't see my Trust 1200 - lotus49

I have discovered that the Aiptek 12000U is exactly the same and they have a Mac OS X driver which works perfectly with my Trust 1200 tablet. I haven't tried the mouse as I don't use this but the pen works exactly as it should.

where did you find the Mac Aiptek tablet driver - bassam.atallah

I search on the Aiptek website and they don't have any mac drivers for tablets.
There are some mac drivers at: http://www.helpdrivers.com/ingles/listado/panel.asp?marca=Aiptek&perif=otros

but they don't seem to work with the Aiptek tablet. Are these the ones that worked for you? simon

where did you find the Mac Aiptek tablet driver - macspresso

after searching for a MAC driver for my Aiptek Slim Tablet 600U, i found the same kind of tablet from different companies. Aiptek, Medion, Aldi, Trust, Genius, and Pentagram..
and all the drivers didnt install.. they all get stuck while 33 files has to be written yet.

then i searched for Pen Pad Tablet Driver V1.72 and found this: http://download.pentagram.pl/en/drivers/graphic_tablets/open_wide/?C=M;O=A

good luck!
finally, succes.. with Leopard, 10.5.6! woohoo! greets from NL

A note for readers... - slurslee

The Trust and Aiptek tablets discussed here are USB tablets, and are not in any way the target hardware for TabletMagic, which deals exclusively with tablets that have RS232/42 serial interfaces. This includes older tablets made by Wacom and the digitizers of modern TabletPC computers, plus a few other models. These tablets all use a common family of communication protocols as well.

I found out that installing this driver from the Trust website, it gets my Trust 1200 to work on Mac OSX Leopard:
