Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

Recommend Product: YES

I have a iMac, OS x.3.9. I have a partitioned HD: 7.5G and 29G. At present the 7.5 portion is showing only 1.54G AVAILABLE ( I keep all of my applications on this 7.5G portion), and the 29.0G is showing only 25.54G AVAILABLE).

Now I want to change the partitionsas follows: the 7.5G to 20G and the 29G to 20G (or what's left of the 29G portion). I will then add an external Hard Drive of 60G, 80G or 100G.

Can I be assured that this will work using the IPartion 1.5.6?

My computer has USB 1.1, and 333MhZ .
Thank you.

Gus, this is not a technical or customer support forum for iDefrag. Try emailing customer support on the Coriolis website. I'm sure they'll be happy to help you -- they handled my pre-sales questions very promptly.

iPartition 1.5.6 - LaMachine

I installed and used iPartition to redistribute space on my B&W G3 350Mhz (now 800Mhz) PowerMac. I too had an issue of a lack of space on my boot partition.

After downloading the software and retrieving the SW license key, I ran the Coriolis CDMaker SW (included with iPartition) to create the boot CD (you can't repartition a volume that is on the boot disk even if the boot is on a different partition.

I booted with the CD, redistributed my partitions to the desired sizes (took about 15-20 minutes with safe mode enabled), ran iDefrag Lite (included with iPartition) and rebooted my computer with the resized boot partition. PERFECT! results. Well worth the $45.00.
