Upgrade broke Vista... won't boot

Feedback Type:  Review

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

Recommend Product: NO

I run the upgrade to 2.5-3036 and booted into Vista Enterprise (final, not Vista beta) It said the Parallels Tools were "old" and to install the new ones from the menu. After installing the tools it prompted to reboot now or wait. I chose Now. Vista hung on shutdown and after several minutes of waiting I stopped the VM. Reboot went into safe mode, successfully. Diagnostics showed no problems, so I rebooted into "Normal" mode. The Vista loading dots/progress bar was erratic and frequently stopped then restarted. After several minutes, it hung completely. CPU was maxing and fan kicked into high speed, so I had to shut down VM again. Looks like I'll have to do a complete rebuild. :-(
