When trying to upload a file via FTP, say more than 20MB, it will stall at the end of the upload process and then restart the upload again, erasing the part of the file that was uploaded. This upload/stall/re-upload cycle happens continuously and is a waste of time and bandwidth.
I tried another FTP app (Cyberduck) and it uploaded the same files just fine. I tried again with Transmit 3.5.5 and the upload problem occurs. Sorry, I can't recommend purchasing an app that doesn't even work as well as a free alternative.

Buggy upload process - sfgecko
Where do see the "keep connection alive" setting? I can't find it in Transmit 3.5.5 preferences.Monday, December 11 2006 @ 02:04 PM PST

Agree with Buggy. Got the same problem. E-mailed Customer service. 2 weeks later, got a response asking me to check "Keep connection Alive" and try again. still does the same thing and you have to start over and over again. It used to work fine in earlier version but not any more.I will be looking for another FTP software. I was using YMMEY until Leo Laport recommended transmit in one of his podcasts. I bought it because it supported WebDav (iDisk) as well as FTP. Now it is a wast of money.
