It is Launch Bar that constantly crashes on my G5,Powerbook G4s both12 inches as well as my flat panel iMac G4 15" and my Powerbook G4 15" while Quicksilver is rock solid and I have yet to see it have any crash. It NEVER unexpectantly quits as Launch Bar does on occasion. All use 10.4.8

That IS odd. Well I have had both as log in items. Maybe that is half of the problem. I noticed that Launch Bar quit occasionally but often enough to be a real nuisance so I took it out of my log in items. BUT Quicksilver never unexpectantly quit. Maybe LaunchBar does not like to be a start up app alongside Quicksilver, perhaps that is the problem. However with all the numerous plugins that Quicksilver has it does seem a lot more versatile than Launch Bar whit it appears is trying to keep up with the versatility of Quicksilver with its new release.Saturday, December 02 2006 @ 11:48 AM PST

You're simply a QS shill, pumping QS without any respect to LB's developer by simply saying that there are others out there you prefer. You make no mention of even trying this version. For the record, I dumped QS, because it was buggy as all hell, and there were long lapses of development between the bugs. I positively give credence to the QS developer(s) for their development efforts and wish them luck, but it's LB for me. Now, are you happy? Clue: Remove LS completely from your computer (if you know how), and stay where you're loved.Saturday, December 02 2006 @ 01:57 PM PST

Obviously either you can't read or you didn't bother to look up from your funny books to read my comment. I wish I could tell you what a total you know what you are to make the last comment. I dare say I have used and supported Launch Bar far longer than you have been using the Mac OS. Just to get the record straight moron IT DOESN'T CRASH WHEN I DON"T USE IT AS A LOG IN ITEM ALONGSIDE QUICKSILVER! Do you understand thator do I have to draw you a block diagram moron?Saturday, December 02 2006 @ 07:36 PM PST

So much for your stated humility. Who would wnat to use the two together? There is no reason to do so. The other minor features that QS offers are better had elsewhere. Your post here is unwarranted, and I still say you are shill who hasn't even installed this latest beta.Saturday, December 02 2006 @ 08:09 PM PST

Hey sjk I remember you well. You're the guy that said I should go to MacFixit when I listed a troubleshooting request on VT and asked for help. You always seem to turn up and irritate. Get bent will you! People ask for help on forums and GOD knows how many times I have given help here when people asked for it. BTW what ever happened to your buddy Applebear?? You remember him he was the brilliant guy who gave one star to Vienna because it had no news!!!Why don't you go wherever he ended up so we can all take a breath? And also BTW when someone accuses me of being a shill for Quicksilver I am going to raise my voice and take them to task. Have a nice day!Tuesday, December 05 2006 @ 08:18 PM PST

Well, I've had the opposite experience. Had to uninstall QS after endless crashes and finally a spinning ball which consumed CPU and went on endlessly. I cannot remember LB crash - ever. This on multiple machines over many years.Reply to This
