I can't think of why you'd WANT a billion playlists, one for each album, when:
- it's easy enough to select individual albums in both iTunes and on an iPod
- the whole philosophy behind iTunes is to make your own playlists, rather than those that come with the record

BUT

This does a great, clean and painless job of making those one billion playlists, so you have to rate it really.

It might be helpful if there was some control over merging playlists - some kind of smart playlist arguments

Works, but why? - andytheweirdo_dotmac

I understand your views completely. I tend to use this because I sometimes burn data backups of albums, and you have to put them in a playlist first. I also don't like having my playlist and album menus separate on my iPod (yes, it's strange but that's just how I am.) I originally wrote it for me and me alone, but thought I'd release it, just incase anyone else wanted (not quite) a billion playlists.

Works, but why? - vdotmatrix

i have 5 ipod products on 1 computer. when i plug in the shuffle, i-tunes wants to load it up with 29GB of stuff.

If all the albums were in their own playlist then, sync options , specific for each device will exist...

right now i have to change the sync EVERYTIME i plug it in ...it is madening.
