Versiontracker is an invaluable service but a word of caution to people reading the reviews here... be skeptical of unsubstantiated reviews - either very good OR very bad. Unless the reviewer goes into some sort of detail about how they installed the software, what sort of environment they run it in, how they prepared for the installation (uninstall old versions or competitors products, repair permissions before and after, etc), what hardware and system softtware they are running on, whether they are in a networked environment - we really don't have any idea whether they are making any sort of unbiased or reasoned evaluation at all.
Take the last post as an example - the reviewer gives no details at all - just flames the product. He/she can't even spell the word "awful" correctly and we are supposed to accept their evaluation??? - I don't think so.
I've run a prepress department for 10 years and have had my share of ups and downs with Suitcase over the years. Overall I have found Fusion to be a major upgrade over X1 in terms of speed and reliability. I will download 12.1.3 today and test it for a few days and THEN I will get back and give it a fair and documented review.
Version:
