Look developer you don't need to announce EVERY SINGLE BUILD on versiontracker OK? I'm getting sick of seeing your program on here every single day, build number incremented by one.
I know it's all part of your plan to stay on the front page but gee, give it a rest OK? I'm actually beginning to dislike your product just based on your ridiculous overdoing of the updates.
I also have a problem with charging money for software whose sole use is piracy. Free software - OK, at least it has principles. But trying to charge money to facilitate piracy is just one step down from theft IMO. Better not annoy too many users, who knows, someone might make a little phone call to the MPAA Legal Department ...

Hey Bozo, skip it if you don't want to see it. The guy is in beta mode, therefore he is being pretty damn proactive in squashing the bugs and releasing new beta versions for thos who want to test the latest and greatest. BTW, this is one of the reasons VT is here. To notify people when there are new version, duhhhh? If the guy wants to release a bug fix a day, that's his perogitive. Not yours. Also, bittorrent clients have lots of uses outside of piracy. In fact, if you knew anything about software and media distribution advancements, torrent files are one of the bright spots in the future. It's not the developer's problem or ethical measure if others use the software to obtain illegal copies of software. There are many commercial operations that are using bittorrent for large file distribution, and you can expect to see more of it in the future. It's a great way to utilize bandwidth (it's not unlimited bonehead).
While he's spending time improving and fixing his software everyday, you're probably spending your free time writing irrelevant ignorant comments making an ass out of yourself. You're as ignorant and short sighted as the RIAA. Instead of condemning the technology, you and the RIAA should start thinking about how you can do productive, legal things with it. There are even rumors floating around that Apple is considering this for commercial software distribution (just one example, but an interesting one given their concern over IP and piracy).
Get a life and maybe an education while you're at it.

1. Heard of auto-update? This developer is not trying to "let you know a new build is ready", he is trying to keep his product on the front page of VT for purely commercial reasons. This is an abuse. Can you imagine if every product did this?2. I am well aware of the legitimate uses of torrents, I run a tracker myself. This product could not even accept a .torrent file when i tested it, all it can do is search various warez trackers. Great, I have no problem with that of course, but I do have problems with the developer charging money!
3. Watanabe is likely breaking the GPL
4. No need for the attitude, "bozo".

"Look developer you don't need to announce EVERY SINGLE BUILD on versiontracker OK?"--isn't that what VT is all about? Don't you want to know if there is a bug fix to a program you are using?
"software whose sole use is piracy."...
--You know better if you are going to say~
"I am well aware of the legitimate uses of torrents, I run a tracker myself."...
--Wow your into piracy, interesting.
I like trying now versions of linux, maybe I need to tell everyone downloading: You can't do that now it is "piracy".
I also like downloading shows and as an American downloading anime up until it is picked up by an american company is legal, probably true in Italy with American TV shows.
"Great, I have no problem with that of course, but I do have problems with the developer charging money!"
--I have problems with people using "piracy" to get attention. Jokingly using threats to call MPAA was very distasteful as well.
Not only has Apple thought of using technology like this but Micro$oft has thought about using it for their automatic updates until they saw what people like you said about torrenting and it's relation to piracy. They were rightfuly afraid of the bad name they would have recieved from using it.
I believe the built in "sites" for this program is google and yahoo, maybe my warez site is missing because i found a lot of non "warez"programs/files in the search results tab(IE not just warez).
"No need for the attitude, "bozo"."
--ok that seems like an odd comment to come from someone who left a comment with so much "attitude"

Dude, get over it. That's the way VersionTracker works. If he has a new build every day, it gets posted here. It's the whole point of having a site named "version tracker".Saturday, December 23 2006 @ 09:25 AM PST

Xtorrent is only PERFECT anyway :-)
