Cannot tell which of my other menu bar add-ons this is conflicting with, but ProfileMenu "beachballs" after one click where I get the drop down menu, but then it locks up. If I don't force quit it through Activity Monitor, it will freeze up one after another menu bar item. Since all the others work fine, and I like them all, I am forced to wait until ProfileMenu is fixed. These are the other menu bar items I use: Adium (part of Adium), ByteController, ClamXav Sentry, BwanaDik, RSS Menu, WeatherMenu, Mail Status Control, NetBarrier X4 (part of NetBarrier X4), MenuCalendarClock iCal Edition, iClock, and finally Butler. Too much time and work to figure out the conflict -- maybe the developer can. Also, one final note -- I installed ProfileMenu into Utilities, not Applications.

The only people who seem to experience these problems are people who have no clue what an ICC profile is yet like to indiscriminately install thousands upon thousands of them onto their computers, most of which were built by questionable means, and describe devices they neither own nor use. While I'd very much like to figure out why ProfileMenu is hanging in these cases, they're not conditions I can reproduce easily, and frankly it's just not a problem that's ever going to happen to anyone who works with profiles professionally--the application's target audience.Clean your system, kids.

I have been a digital imaging professional for 15 years, I know color management upside down and inside out, I keep my systems lean, clean, and updated. I am the application's target audience and THE APPLICATION HANGS just as described by the previous commentors even on a new pristine system with just CS3 loaded.Your arrogance and snide attitude are inexcusable. FIX IT or go do something constructive elsewhere. Developer policy of blaming the user is BS.

It isn't really possible for it to conflict with anything unless one of those other applications is patching ColorSync routines somewhere. At any rate, I'd need a lot more information to go on to even begin to diagnose what is happening here. What version, what OS, what hardware, etc.Reply to This
