As with other posters here, I have also had problems getting the update. My previous login credentials seemed to have stopped working so I had to change my password before I could get access to download the update. When I did get access it downloaded extremely slowly. Not an impossible obstacle to get around, but yet another example of the "don't care" approach that Roxio seem to take nowadays.
I hope that the issue with memory management in v7.1 has been fixed but the release notes don't give much hope for this, unless this is cryptically hidden in one of the items on the list...

Obstacles to progress. - DShore
I am hoping that Roxio checks this site from time to time. I am not criticizng their customer service because it is a reality that hackers can be a causative factor. However even prior to the latest issue, it has been a laborious task to update. As soon as you launch the new update you are requested to provide a serial number, not always readily available. And then you are required to go through the steps as though it were the FIRST time launching the application.I am always surprised that Roxio does not recognize a user who has updated multiple times and required to go through these steps each time an update is downloaded.
Passwords and logins are another problem.
