Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 6-12 months

The updater requires you to login to the website. Not usually an issue, except that the Roxio website doesn't work. Not on Firefox anyway. Trying to create a login shows a checkbox with no text that is apparently a privacy checkbox. If you don't check it off, you get an error message that you must check the "privacy" checkbox, whatever that is. If you do check the unnamed checkbox, you get a "general login error." Get with it, Roxio. Incompatible websites are a huge disappointment in this day and age.

Impossible-to-use website only to Non-Mac products. - John G. Melone

FYI:

When you get ready to download from Roxio they say to use Safari only. When I got my notice to update (on my Watch List) It downloaded and I dragged the items to the HD and put them in the folder.

One, If you are using 7.1 Toast you had to install it by CD or Download. If you registered it you had to use Safari. I just tried it and with Safari no problem and It even said Hi John (my first name) as I have a cookie and it told me I am up-to-date as I updated it yesterday.

Firefox I have to use for certain sites... I am Board Member of an organization and It only let me on with Firefox. Roxio is super friendly to Mac and other are not.

You would not be updating Toast if you were not using Mac. You do NOT visit Roxio using a NON Mac browser. The download will not start unless you use Safari and they tell you so.

Impossible-to-use website - Don Fraser

Not for me. A straight download from VersionTracker with no problems. But my browser is Safari (Mac).
