Won't install - even after repairing permissions

So-called Universal Binary version on Core Duo Mac mini running 10.4.8

Installer fails with two files left to install saying I don't have permission for the install. As the only user on the machine, I wonder who does.

Repairing permissions on the drive makes no difference to the installer's behaviour.

A waste of time all round!
