I have not had a problem with this new version of Flash Player. I followed the instructions such as checking permissions, quitting all Browsers, installing the update, repairing permissions once again. I downloaded the update directly from Adobe.

After installation I was taken to the Adobe site where it indicated that the new FP had installed. I then went to several Flash sites and had no problems at all.
