Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

I would like to what this is for? I mean I know that as it says you can download whole sites, pages, etc., but why? It seems this could run into some copyright issues with sites or am I missing something. If so please inform me.

Why would you want this? - robinbianchi

There are many reasons. One example: I am a web developer who sometimes gains clients who don't have FTP access to their own web space. With this program, I can pull an entire site off a server without having to know anything more than the URL. But if you're too dense to read the product description, and hung up on copyright (which has close to no relevance here), you are probably better off sticking to cNet for all your software downloads. They cater almost exclusively to people who have no idea why programs exist and what people would use them for.

This application is a valuable tool for Web developers. It allows us to quickly grab the content of new or existing client sites without having to initially request FTP access.

Copyrights should always be respected but there is often a distinction between copying something to your local drive and copying something for reuse or personal gain. Most sites will spell out their policies regarding the information they provide online.
