I've used this software for nearly a year without a hiccup. If it was as crappy as the previous reviewer stated then why is it the number 1 recommended screenwriting softward in Hollywood?

... what a retarded response! Well gee, Einstein, then I guess you ask yourself why, if Mac OS X is so much better than Windows, why it only has less than 10% marketshare, huh??!! Or how ELSE does your so keen logic work??Moron.
Final Draft is CRAP nonetheless! And that's a GREAT question: why IS it the most recommended??! You tell me! Have you ever seen "Montage"?? Ever see how THAT'S an intuitive and MAC LIKE interface?
Try getting out more.

Actually, despite it poularity, Final Draft is actually very buggy. Ever tried the email a script feature on Mac OSX? Even their support department apologise and say that it doesn't work and is a left over of Mac OS9 code. Ever tried the Collabowriter feature on OSX? Their support department apologise for the bugs and that it mostly doesn't work. Ever heard of your friends who are also writers lose their entire script or watched the screen as it reformats itself and adds characters every second? Ever emailed a script and found that it has to be rebuilt due to it getting corrupted beyond use in the process? The only reason that it is the studio recommended software is that its the best of an uninspiring set. And most writers aren't usually technical people, so they probably don't complain as much as say project managers of web developers would, faced with such a poor quality product. And before you ask, yes, I'm a web developer, and yes my wife is a writer for Disney, Warner, Ealing Studios. Please complain to Final Draft not to your peers.Reply to This
