I downloaded and opened gDisk, and the very first screen asks for your Gmail address and password. Am I just paranoid, or does this seem a little like fishing? Couldn't they simply be trying to get access to my Gmail account so they can use it to send spam, or look into my emails (not that there's anything interesting in my account)?
If anyone has used this app, please respond to this post and allay my concerns (or verify them, as the case may be). I'd really like to use gDisk because I am a professor who uses a lot of PowerPoint presentations, etc., in my teaching. However, our "smart classrooms" have some rather unreliable computers -- sometimes my USB flash drive works, and sometimes it doesn't. I'd love to have some means of easily backing up PowerPoint presentations to my Gmail account for those days when the classroom computer's USB port isn't working properly. Thanks.

Well, this is why open source projects are so great. You can examine the source to see if there's any security issues.Having said so, you can also do a search for gDisk on google for reviews.
