Existing users, 
Why not simply use a compressed dmg file?
It seems that this format is ignored by many developers, that continue to distribute their apps as x.dmg.zip or x.dmg.gz.

That's what I've done in UNO 1.3.1.The problem was Safari again adding an extra bz2 extension to the compressed dmg.
