Can anyone provide feedback on performance comparisons of Parallels vs Boot Camp on a Mac Mini Intel Core Duo - specifically, on running graphics-intensive like games? The mini's somewhat challenged in the video card department, but the games (for which we arrived at the MacIntel compromise) seem to run very fast on Boot Camp.
Wondering if anyone can give feedback to performance characters on video throughput with Parallels Desktop's "semi-emulation" environment vs Boot Camp.
Thanks!

For 3-D games, use Bootcamp, since DirectX is not supported at all. This is no secret -- the company is very open about this. Future versions might improve on this but in the meantime, look elsewhere for this functionality. Personally, I use Parallels for developing software, debugging installers, and doing occasional odd thiings and it's FABULOUS. I also use Boot Camp for, er, play-testing various game products from various publishers.Reply to This
